With the increasing of the competitive bid threshold from $15,000 to $30,000 per Legislative Act 2023-135, a request is being made to increase the small dollar threshold from $5,000 to $10,000 to further streamline the purchasing process for departments by removing the need to obtain multiple quotes for small dollar purchases that would not be subject to the competitive bidding process.
