Additional Comments:

As part of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) grant funds disbursement process, the City’s procurement policy was evaluated by ALEA and its consultants to determine compliance with the federal procurement policy as outlined in §2 CFR 200.317 - 200.327 (Code of Federal Regulations) and inclusion of guidance addressing the procurement of goods and/or services using federal funds in whole or in part.  As written, the City’s policy for general and public works projects does not include provisions addressing federally funding procurements. The proposed amendments ensure compliance with federal guidelines and provide guidance on the processing of federally funded procurements.
