An amended grant agreement between Federal Highway Administration and the City of Huntsville for Holmes Avenue and Medical Access Corridor Improvements utilizing FY24 Safe Streets for All (SS4A) grant funds. The project includes a corridor study of Governors Drive Medical District (8.85 miles) for a Safety Action Plan and streetscape improvement along Holmes Avenue between Spragins Street and Sparkman Drive to improve pedestrian safety and connectivity. Amendment allows funding to be allocated towards different phases of work on each project with a cost share of 70% federal funds and 30% local funds.
