Additional Comments:  

Under the pricing structure of the competitively solicited agreement, the City is required to purchase a minimum quantity of pine straw rolls and/or wheat bales. After consulting with the departments that utilize this contract, the lead department-Landscape Management-has determined that the City will not require the minimum quantities specified in the agreement during normal business operations.  Because the City is unable to meet these minimum purchase requirements, Landscape Management has concluded that it is in the City’s best interest to terminate the contract in accordance with Section 2.25, which allows termination without cause with thirty (30) days’ written notice to the vendor. The City intends to re-bid the contract without the minimum purchase obligation to better align with operational needs.  SiteOne Landscape & Supply has fully complied with all terms and conditions of the contract and has provided the required goods and services satisfactorily. The recommendation to terminate is based solely on the City’s inability to meet the minimum purchase quantities established in the agreement.
