For Landscape Maintenance Services contract competitively bid through IFB #36-2025-52, Southern Landscape and Lawncare, Inc. was deemed the second lowest responsible and responsive bidder for Packages A and B.  Code of Alabama permits the City to award a contract to the second lowest responsible and responsive bidder should the originally awarded contract vendor default on the contract.  Under the terms and conditions of the contract, the City has the right to award the contract in whole to a single contractor or in parts to multiple contractors.  Landscape Management Services determined that it is in the best interest of the City to award this contract in part to multiple contractors.  This contract was previously held by Yard-Nique, Inc., dba Tidewater Landscape Maintenance.
