Additional Comments:

The City of Huntsville desires to restore community connectivity across the US 23/431 (Memorial Parkway) and Governors Drive via the construction of a 1,400 LF cable suspended bridge over two major transportation barriers. The cable suspended bridge is a critical element of the overall Pedestrian Access and Redevelopment Corridor (PARC) project, which received a $20 million Fiscal Year 2022 Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) grant award. The pedestrian bridge will transcend barriers to economic opportunity and connectivity for nearly 5,000 residents of Huntsville's urban core by reconnecting the Mill Creek neighborhood to vital services in the Downtown central business district.
