Additional Comments:

Section 41-16-50(g) of the Code of Alabama allows the Department of Public Examiners to request an adjustment to the competitive bid threshold every three years. To keep the City’s purchasing limits aligned with inflation and rising costs, the proposed change would automatically adjust the City’s small-dollar purchase threshold whenever the state competitive bid threshold is updated.
